How the transfer works
STEP 1
Request a quote
Tell us about your organisation and your current certificate. There is no obligation to move.
STEP 2
Pre-transfer review
We review your current certificate, its accreditation and your latest audit reports, following the NiNAS/IAF transfer guideline.
STEP 3
Transfer decision
Once the review is complete, we confirm the transfer and the certification decision.
STEP 4
New SCL certificate
We issue your SCL certificate, keeping your current certification cycle, and carry out future surveillance audits.
No obligation
Even with a quotation from us, there is no obligation to move your certification. If you do, we will make the transfer as effortless and painless as possible. What have you got to lose?
Frequently asked questions
Is there a fee to transfer?
There is normally no fee for the transfer itself. Once your certification is with SCL, we charge for future surveillance and recertification audits at competitive rates.
Will my certificate stay valid?
Yes. Accredited certification can be transferred between accredited certification bodies, and your certification cycle continues with SCL.
Can any certificate be transferred?
Only certificates issued under recognised accreditation can be transferred. Certificates that are suspended, or not accredited, may need a new initial audit instead. We confirm this in the pre-transfer review.
Do you contact my current certification body?
No. We will not contact your current certification body. You stay in control of the process.
